Last weekend we hosted our Equestrian and Agricultural Gala. On Saturday the event was held at the school farm and competition included show jumping, combined training and dressage. On Sunday we moved to the number one oval and again hosted competitors in show jumping, sporting and polocrosse. Our cattle team also presented our Shorthorn heifers, kindly donated by Spry’s Shorthorn Stud, and were on hand to answer questions from the many visitors who came to view the magnificently prepared cattle. Congratulations to all cattle team members.
This was the largest competition we have held and were able to draw riders from local schools and those from further afield such as Forbes, Condoblin and Kurrajong. We thank all riders and their families for supporting our event.
This was a very successful competition for our team. The riders and their achievements are as follows: Captain Cameron Smith, Jeremy Gallagher, William McGaw, Brendan Luther, Rory Stonestreet, Brandon McKelvie, Waylon Breen, Bryce Mallon, Tom Stocks, Max Hanrahan and Henry Jones. Congratulations to all of these boys – they are a great crew and I was very proud of not only their performances but also their willingness to give all events a go.

Over the two days there were many parents and students who assisted and I would like to sincerely thank you all for your tireless work – we would not have been able to field such a successful event without your support and kindness. I would especially like to thank Mrs Clements and Mr and Mrs Flynn for all of their help in the weeks leading up to the event and over the two days of competition.
Weekend Events
This weekend is very busy with most of our riders attending Eglinton Gymkhana, Blayney Show or Sofala Show. As such there will be no supervised riding at the farm over the weekend.
Entries Required Now
I am waiting for return entries for Evans Crown Sporting Day ( entries to Mrs van Gend 3rd March), The Scots School Show jumping Day ( entries to Mrs van Gend 5th March)and The North Western Equestrian Expo (entries to Mrs van Gend 18th March). I have distributed entry forms for these events and can be contacted for more if they are needed.
Riding Lessons
On Monday Miss Jess Legge will be at the farm for jumping lessons from 4 pm, on Tuesday Mrs Cassie Pearce will be providing Dressage lessons from 4pm and on Wednesday Mr John Kinghorn will be giving jumping lessons from 4pm.
