Sport

Sport is a compulsory part of the school Curriculum.

All students are required to attend sport.

Parents are requested to make important appointments outside scheduled sport afternoon periods.

Special permission may be given for early leavers on sport afternoons only after appropriate written request from parent/guardian is presented to the Mrs Poole in Student Services before the commencement of school on sports day.

Year 7 Boys in 7B 7E and 7L will not choose a sport for term 2 as they will participate in a special program called 'Rock and Water' unless the student is part of the special development squads.

The sport choices available to all students are categorised into six groups and students are directed to choose from at least three of these six groups throughout the year.

The aim of the program is to encourage all students to participate in a variety of experiences during their school life at Belmont High School.
